Student Financial Services

Student Financial Services helps students achieve the goal of earning a degree from Nevada State University. We know that understanding finances can be difficult, and we are here to help you fund and pay for the cost of your education.

For Fall 2026, the earliest possible disbursement and refund dates are listed below. These dates are estimates and may change because of processing delays, changes to your enrollment, or other eligibility requirements.

August 17, 2026: Grant and scholarship disbursements begin

Grants and scholarships are scheduled to begin applying to eligible student accounts.

Federal Direct Loan disbursements are delayed while required system updates are completed. We do not currently have a confirmed date for loan disbursements to begin.

Loans for part-time students require additional adjustments based on enrollment and will not disburse until after the add/drop period at the earliest.

August 19, 2026: Refund processing begins

If your financial aid is greater than the charges on your student account, the remaining amount may be issued to you as a refund.

BankMobile will begin sending electronic refund information to banks and preparing paper checks. You can log in to your BankMobile account to check your refund status. After BankMobile sends an electronic refund, your bank may take up to two business days to post the deposit to your account.

If you do not set up an alternative method of payment at refundselection.com, a check will be mailed to the address on file after 21 days.

August 21, 2026: Contact us if you have not seen any activity

If you have not seen any financial aid activity on your MyNevadaState student account by August 21 and you do not have outstanding items on your To-Do List, contact Financial Aid at finaid@nevadastate.edu or 702-992-2150.

September 9, 2026: Financial aid is adjusted for reported non-attendance

At the end of the second week of classes, Nevada State asks instructors to report students who have not attended or participated in their courses.

Financial Aid will review these reports beginning September 9. Your financial aid may be reduced or canceled if your reported attendance affects your eligibility.
